Braun had 18 win shares last year IRL with a fld% under like .900. He's still a very valuable player. would 18 wins be worth 32 MILLION PER SEASON?? braun's bat is sick I dount doubt that...but 32 MILLION for 1 season is insane and thats what Braun would make if he hit all those incentives...which are ALL attainable... if someone can convince me of that i'll change my stance...but if not im asking Mike make a call on this...I cant see how 32 mil per isnt crippling a franchise... he could get 2-3 imports over the next 4 seasons using that money...

Just consider the LAD the NYY of the N.L. Spending lots of cash for a player. It happens.

18 wins would equal at least 14.4 MIL so yeah I'd say getting a player that will earn you 14.4 MIL a year(and 18 wins closer to winning the division) is worth the money

Actually 1 Win Share is = to 1/3 of a win. Meaning Braun's 18 win shares netted the Brewers 6 extra wins.
For a better statistic, Braun had a Warp3 of 4.6, which means he was worth 4.6 wins to the Brewers last year (win shares aren't the best stat).
