actually the post I posted had to do with Manny, and since I have something to do with this I had the right to post, not MIL or you.

i highly doubt manny would get 7 mil over 2 years in FA. i got jim edmonds for 4 mil over 2 years last year...and he can hit AND play defense. and, may i add, it was the ONLY offer to him. the FA market isn't that interested in old underperforming outfielders.

could we please get a vote from TOR and CLE??? This is taking forever, it's 2-1 for him to sign right now, and has been for 4 days

I would think manny would like a bit longer contract or some more secruity. Other then that the offer isn't bad at all and maybe the rockies should just send in another offer that's why everyone is allowed 3.

TOR, COL can't make another offer. Review BoardIf at any point an owner feels their offer has been unfairly rejected by their agent, they may appeal to the review board to have the contract accepted. The review board is made up of the same members as the trade committee and the same methods are used (best of 5 vote). Reasons will be provided by both the owner and the agent as to why the offer should be accepted/ rejected. The vote of the review board is final. If the offer is accepted the player resigns and if the offer is rejected the player will become a Free Agent at the end of the season. [glow=red,2,300] By going to the review board the owner forfeits all rights to continue negotiations, even if only one offer has been rejected.[/glow]

Shawn was supposed to post his response quite a while ago, but he's a lazy bum, so I'm posting for him that the deal is passed.
COL already knew so it was just a formality, but there you go.
