*not sure if the WS got simmed yet, if not it should be simmed tonight so I dont think it will be a huge deal
FLA gets Juan Pierre
CIN gets FLA #1 for 2013(next yrs draft not the upcoming one)
FLA to accept
Hate moving Pierre when I am trying to win, but its Charlie Hustle time!

I just don't see how this trade makes sense for FLA. I want to see what a TC says, protest #3.
Pierre was a FA signing last year that no one wanted how is he worth a 1?

This is in NO way harmful for the league...Pierre hit .309/.348/.368 last season and was one of the TOP leadoff men in the UCSL. He had 204 hits, 86 runs(would surpass 100 hitting ahead of Huber, Mahoney and Stokes) and 77 SB's, good for 3rd in the league. He also only had 1 error in CF in 155 games.
Just because YOU wouldnt do the trade does NOT make it harmful to the league. FLA is trying to win now with the studs he has, and Pierre will give him more wins, end of story. He gets a leadoff guy with speed and gold glove defense to roam CF(which will help make his SP's even better)
Lets also look at the player Pierre will replace in CF, Chris Aguila. He hit a measly .269/.323/.349 The only thing he did do was play defense well, other then that this guy had NO right to be in the ML, period.
Now I am doing the deal b/c I need to make room for Charlie Hustle, who proved he was ready right out of the draft hitting .406/.505/.708 combined at all 3 stops in the minors last yr, to go with 37 doubles, 18 triples, 18 hrs, 111 runs, 98 rbi's and 53 sb's.
I am going to wait for the TC, but until then could SEA and TOR please give a reason(b/c with TOR I already know its "he could get more" and thats not a reason to protest...protests are to make sure people dont cheat...and this isnt cheating this is a team trying to win now and another team moving a roadblock for a top spec)
*also other then TOR and SEA please no replies to this until Mike sets the TC(other then FLA listing his reasons) thanks!

Reason #1 Need a good CF #2 Need a good hitter #3 Need a good lead off hitter #4 Need a good base stealer #5 A number 1 pick isn't going to help my ML team this yr, Pierre will #6 Sounded good to me so why not
CIN did a good job posting reasons that it is good for me and this is my 2 cents worth. Pierre is only 2 mil which is easier to afford than say 10 or 15 mil for an outstanding CF which would be impossible for me especially with Beckett at 15 plus and Felix next year will be even more. 2 Mil for some help in the field and the plate is a great bargain. Sure it is a first pick but that first pick may never even reach ML level. Thats it, thanks, good luck in your decision.

You and CIN can post your final reasonings and I'll set up the TC tonight. Voting will start in 24 hours or after you both finalize your reasonings (or say here that what you said before is your full reasoning). I would have done this over the weekend but I was gone.

I don't see a problem with this trade, each team is getting a decent player. Pierre is getting up there in age, but he proved this past season those old legs can still steal 77 bases. FLA's 1st will be a mid round pick, just basing off past years, no real huge player makes it out of the top 8 or so, although I might not have done this for just Pierre, it doesn't hurt the league in any way. Pass.

I agree with TB. FLA may have overpaid a little bit for an above-average leadoff guy, but that was one of his needs and he got it. PASS
