Tanking violations

1 Having a lefthanded infielder
2 having infielders not trained at the position
3 having a C that is not fully trained- the number of errors and pass balls, and steals are enough to warrant tanking
4 Putting shitty players in ahead of better players.
5 Not having at least 24 players on ML roster
6 Basically doing awhat Cincy did for the last 3 seasons

Penalties
1st time fine $1-5 mil
2nd time loss of 3rd pick
3rd time loss of 2nd rd pick
4th time loss of 1st rd pick
5th time life time ban

i understand there are more types of tanking, these just are off the top of my head. i am sick of seeing stuff that reinforces tanking.
Maybe we should even use a lottery system where you can only be in the top 5 for 2 seasons in a row. Then you go to pick 6 in the 3rd.
I think tanking is more of a problem in the league than the Sean and Jeff on again off again relationship.

I have 23 players on my roster and am fully trying to compete, Training a C in the ML's happens and would actually be benificial for some teams(like LAD and Ryan Braun) I think that this should be re-phrased as

Having infielders that don't have the vitals to play their position
going by arm strength and range and RH/LH

range is overrated in IF...ive seen 2b with a 2-3 range play gold glove caliber...think Ryno...couldnt get to everything but what he did get to he caught

so a .990 fielding% for all the balls that are hit directly into his glove and he lets everything else roll buy, that would be great how about sticking a glove on a stick and not even playing the infield?

Well in LAD's case, he obviously isn't gonna win the division and is a long shot for the WC, but what would be best for his team(and Ryan Braun)? Braun being trained at C would raise his value(which he needs after last sim)


I just think it is needed to be looked at by a team by team basis, like if what he is doing makes sense for his ML players in the long run then it isn't tanking. Forgoing a few games


Case in point, Philly himself trained Justin Morneau at C in the MLs' for the 2006 and 2007 season and went from worst in the NL East to winning it the year after Morneau was fully trained and has now won 2 WS's. Now don't you think that going through a bad C for 2 seasons is worth the reward at the end?
