Projected Season Record- 117-45
2nd Baseman- Jose Reyes- One of the best lead-off hitters and SS's in the league Reyes had a less than spectacular down year in 2010. This year he hopes to rebound to his prev. 5 year form.
Projected 2011 Stats- .325 BA, .380 OBP, .512 SLG%, 30 2B's, 20 HR's, 13 3B's, 70 SB's 122 runs and 83 RBI
Left Fielder Lastings Milledge- Slated as the #2 hitter and hit 40 HR's and 53 SB's in a disappointing rookie season. Yes even though he had 40 HR's and 53 SB's it was disappointing because of what this kid can be. His .255 BA and .320 OBP were less than expected and he can expect an improvement across the boards.
Projected 2011 Stats- .302 BA, .390 OBP, .590 SLG%, 35 doubles, 42 HR's, 10 3B's, 62 SB's, 115 runs, 109 RBI
Third Baseman David Wright- After a dissapointing 2009, Wright rebounded with a slightly better 2010 and is hoping for an even better 2011. Once the best 3rd baseman in the league he has fallen. This year with a consistant batting order expects to be much better, staying in the #3 spot all season. With increased production ahead of him in Milledge and Pujols batting behind him all year he can expect to see alot of hittable pitches.
Projected 2011 Stats- .312, .380, .520 34 HR's, 45 2B's, 1 3B, 61 SB's, 115 runs, 129 RBI's
Right Fielder Albert Pujols- One of the best hitters to ever play the game is also hoping for a bounce back season. A player that is used to being named in MVP talks is now behind some of the younger kids, he is now looking to get a year or 2 of his prev. form in before the decline starts.
Projected 2011 Stats- .342, .432, .672, 52 HR's, 42 2B's, 0 3B, 123 runs, 156 RBI
Center Fielder Roy Williams- The kid has produced every season since he was drafted and doesn't look to slow down now. At only 26 years old he looks to be a staple in Colorado for years to come, hoping to be the most prolific #5 hitter in the league.
Projected 2011 Stats- .320, .410, .576, 27 HR's, 57 2B's, 1 3B, 20 SB's 94 runs, 104 RBI's
Catcher Daric Barton- The strongest arm behind the plate in the league as well as one of the top 5 hitting catchers as well. On most teams would be a clean-up hitter but for Colorado he is sitting at the 6th spot in the line-up. This doesn't bother Barton because their is less pressure on him to bat and more to call the games, and he is still alloted plenty of AB's and RBI and run chances.
Projected 2011 Stats- .299 BA, .372 OBP, .530 SLG%, 38 HR's, 22 2B's, 0 3B's, 94 runs, 96 RBI's
ShortStop Anthony Gwynn- Young star who didn't get alot of playing time last year as he was splitting time with Joey Gathright. With Gathright gone that leaves Gwynn with all the SS playing time and Gwynn wants to produce. He is an amazing threat with a little power and alot of contact and speed with amazing discipline.
Projected 2011 Stats- .285, .369, .411 8 HR's, 22 2B's, 14 3B's, 62 SB's, 79 runs, 72 RBI
1st Baseman Mark Teixiera- Has had 2 horrible seasons and with his new contract looks to impress the next 2 seasons. The best that can be expected is 40 HR's but nobody is expecting that.
Projected 2011 Stats- .269, .342, .480, 32 HR's, 35 2B's, 2 3B's, 72 runs, 88 RBI.
