Your latest STL roster (I'm going to try and mix and match this year however).
1. Rajai Davis (CF)- Perfect leadoff batter, hits for great average, obp and has blazing speed.
2. Freddie Lewis (1B)- Has an awesome average obp and will fit great in the #2 hole. Freddie came over here in a trade with LA. He might not do great defensively but hopefully he can learn the position over time and make up for it with the bat.
3. Curtis Granderson (LF)- Curtis has already surpassed his vitals by a lot posting a .338/.414/.559 line last year and has never hit below .310 in his major league tenure.
4. Tony Alvarez (RF)- The vet hit .280/.353/.480 last year and looks to keep it up. He'll be sliding over to right this year b/c I like his arm there.
5. Ismael Castro (2B)- Ismael has been on fire with the bat over his career and posted a .316/.390/.480 line last year.
6. Jack Wilson (SS)- Wilson has great vitals and the chance to be a power threat but has been regressing as a hitter pretty badly. At the least he'll be a top notch fielder.
7. Kelly Shoppach (C)- Was a backup last year for Boston. Has a great arm and has good hitting vitals.
8. Tony Blanco (3B)- An awesome fielder with a great arm, but lacking offensively.
SP- Jerome Williams: Awesome starter, if he can repeat his 3.02 ERA and 15-9 record he will be an all-star this year.
SP- Zack Greinke: Came over in a trade from Atlanta. Sports a career 3.52 ERA and he's only 26. Another possible all-star.
SP- Bobby Jenks: Posted a 3.74 ERA last year out of the bullpen and is entering his prime. Ok chance at an all-star selection.
SP- Clint Everts: Posted a 3.74 ERA last year (not a typo, it was the exact same as Jenks's). Everts is 25 and should make a big splash but can his offence support him? (no).
SP- Rich Harden: Is a workhorse that has put up a solid low 4 ERA his entire career. Expect another consistant season.
Bullpen:
Closer- Dannys Baez: The incumbent will take the closer position again.
Setup- Dan Meyer: STL's big free agent signing ($500k) will provide lefty help from the pen.
Others- Ted Lilly, Josh Kinney, Miguel Martinez (these guys blow)
Projected Record: 65-97
