Stieb, hoping that trading yet another #1 pick won't bite him in the but, agrees. "The quality and caliber of players involved couldn't be passed up," Stieb was quoted as saying. "Ortiz, with Millwood being placed on waivers, moves to the #4 slot and will help now and in the future with Ryan moving to closer's role." When asked if Stieb would trade or resign Ryan, he declined comment.
