I have finished the team payrolls, and they are all up to date, except for Trades and FA offers that have been on the board less than 24 hours (DET/KC deal). I am sending out an email with the file attached. It is an excel file. If you don't have excel, or for some reason don't recieve the file, let me know and I'll get it to you some other way. It would be good if you keep up with your own payroll, in that I could make mistakes during moving players throughout the file, and also you'll know what you have to spend. Here are some guidelines for those of you who are going to keep yours updated:
-If you call up a minor leaguer under the age of 28, he recieves a 4 year deal worth 300K once he reaches one of these requirements:
For a hitter: 100 AB's in a year, For a SP: 15 GS in a year, for a RP: 30 G in a year
If a guy doesn't reach these in his first year, he won't get that contract, but once he reaches one of thsoe for his career he then gets the contract. Ex- Joe Schmoe (RP) pitches 25 games during the season after getting called up. The next season he pitches in 5 games. He gets a ML contract because he has reached the 30 G's.
If the player has a minor league contract, he gets a ML contract once he reaches these requirements and his MLC is gone.
- If you call up a minor leaguer 28 or older, he gets a 2 year deal worth 500,000.
- Once a guy has a contract, you must pay him even if you send him to the minors. Keep this in mind.
- If you cut a guy who has a contract, you must pay half of his salary.
- Waiver claims cost 100K if you get the player.
