I saw in Pedro's contract, he gets a 5M incentive if BOS doesn't make the WS...was that in real life or the Sim? Just wondering when that would be assessed too?

Obviously it was for whichever team he was on at the time, and FLA made the WS last year, so it will not be charged.

Obviously it was for whichever team he was on at the time, and FLA made the WS last year, so it will not be charged. That is complete nonsense. The incentive clearly says Boston, so it means Boston. Last time I checked Boston doesn't mean Florida, just like 2+2 doesn't equal 5.

Sorry, I'll hire lawyers to write up the contracts from now on...obviously common sense isn't a factor here.

well common sense would have had you put in the salary page "5 MIL if Pedro doesn't make the WS" and not "5 MIL if BOS doesn't make the WS"

thats moot anyway, Pedro joined FLA after FLA went to the WS, therefore FLA's WS doesn't count, and Pedro never made the WS, so the incentive WILL be charged lol

obviously common sense isn't a factor here. Common sense says that the incentive says what it says, not what it doesn't say. Under the Boston means Florida routine going on, 40 really means 45 for the amount of saves needed, and so forth.

who cares? it doesnt make a difference to anyone here, so really...who cares? It shouldn't need explaining, one would think you would be smart enough to figure it out, but obviously you aren't.

one would think that when the commissioner says that something isn't goint to happen, that you would realize that it isnt going to happen. but obviously you are the one that isnt smart enough to realize it.

one would think that when the commissioner says that something isn't goint to happen, that you would realize that it isnt going to happen. Well when someone draws a clearly erroneous conclusion, I am not going to let it go. Besides, I couldn't care less if the commish being wrong or if it is Colorado being wrong. Wrong is wrong. When one doesn't have a relevant point, the reguritate something unrelated to the original point at hand. St. Louis, a mindless automaton who doesn't have an original thought in his whole body.

The only reason it was asked is he is on FLA trade block...and I was interested, but I don't want to be stuck with that 5M, if anyone must know.

^^^^^^^
same reason that I researched it, I was interested, but not now that he has that 5 MIL(WHICH HE DOES HAVE, because he has not been on a team that has made the WS since he signed that contract)
