To go with the new trend, the Angels announced a new coaching staff early today- Manager- Bobby Valentine Hitting Coach- Tony Gwynn Pitching Coach- Dwight Gooden Bullpen Coach- Dennis Eckersley Mike Scocia will stay on as the Catcher's instructor and bench coach. And the Angels also announce a new mascot to give the rally monkey some days off. Beercat!

what if teams have some of the same coaches? It doesn't matter to me, I just did it for fun (and an excuse to post the beercat.) Tony Gwynn? I don't think so... I pulled a Steinbrenner and offered him 15 mil a year to be hitting coach. When I later mentioned and described San Diego he said "I've never heard of it, sounds like a nice place, though not as nice as Anaheim". And all these people post coaching staffs, but nobody can compare to my amazing team of Mascots. I have 2 that are each better than any one that other teams have.

The Angels would like to announce that as we near the end of our 3 year contract with Beercat, that we have re-signed him to another 3 years to team up with the rally monkey as dual mascots.
(I don't know what made me think to find this thread, but I had to post after finding it!)
