Peter Gammons is reporting that a major trade is in the works. Peter says that he has been in talks with both Clevelands Mark Shapiro and the Angels Bill Stoneman and that a blockbuster trade is being close to completion. One name that is rumored to be in the deal is Curt Schilling. Staye tuned for further reports

I have no comment on the trade at the time. I have had discussions with many GM's about many different trade scenerios, and therefore I will not deny having had contact with Bill in the past. I can not comment at this time on any possible deals that may be in the works. But nothing is imminent at this time.

We must also deny this rumor. We have been contacted by many teams about Curt, but we cannot say we've had any offers convincing enough for us to move the reigning Cy Young winner. We continue to hear offers from teams regarding all players, but nothing is concrete at this time.

there seems to be a new rumor on the street...the A's are reportedly takin offers for Hudson and/or Zito...They need an upgrade in their lineup, nothing specific cin their lineup has no strong points as is...we'll have more on this story as it progresses p.s.-the A's have also updated their site a bit...take a look @ www.angelfire.com/pro2/oakland_athletics/index.html

Rumors have the Colorado Rockies looking to make some trades to add a stud SP to the front of their rotation, people being talked about in trades have been young stud SP Sean Burnett and power hitting 1st baseman Jason Giambi, could this be hinting towards Giambi returning to Oakland, we will have to stay tuned to find out.

another rumor has hit the street. the cardinals could be close to making a major trade. people have said it involves a team in the nl west adding pitching depth to compete with the rockies. stay tuned, it could be a doozie.
