This is a press release from the office of The Owner Of The Arizona Diamondbacks...
While on vacation in the lovely country of The Netherlands, I was informed of the trading of Eric Chavez to the Philadelphia Phillies...after learning this I have dismissed Garagiola from his duties as GM.
I am not going to try to get this trade recinded, but I could not believe that he traded away the franchise...behind my back, even...none the less, we welcome our new young talent, and wish the best to Chavez and Big Papi...
Effective IMMEDIATELY we our beginning our search for a new GM.
