NEW LEAGUE POLL-
There doesn't seem to be much interest in the current FA Market, and I'm looking to spice it up a little. Here was my idea: I would create some of the 2004 draft picks (the amatuer draft just happened 2 weeks ago), and place them into the FA pool for bidding. None of them would really be ML ready, but they'd be good young guys to add to your systems (esp for teams like TB, DET, etc) and would be ready in 1-2 years. What do you guys think?

Well obviously I'd create them in the editor first..you wouldn't be bidding blindly. It would take me a little work to find stats on the guys and create them, but I'd be fine with it. Probably only the first round picks or something like that.

If we're gonna do a draft, why not just have me create the 1st round picks and place them on the teams that actually drafted them? That would be alot easier.

Cause you get Weaver that way.

Did the Angels get Weaver??? My cpu was down at the time so I don't even know who my team (the Mets) got. Didn't the Angels have like the 20th pick?

Yeah they had the 12th pick. Weaver fell because his agent is Scott Boras and no teams wanted to have to deal with signing him.

Dammit so the Mets passed on Weaver too. I wanted him bad...

I think that I'm gonna give this a little time. This will 1) Give me time to find their stats and create them. 2) Give the league time to decide how to do them (FA, placed on actual teams, etc).
Also, I would probably like to wait until the FA period after the first season, that way by then you'll know your caps and be able to figure whether or not you should bid on them.
