i think it is a good idea if every team submits a depth chart, and has a list of who to call up in the event one of their players get hurt, and lineups. or if thats too much, at least have the option to.

I think that is definitely a good Idea. It is something you can post in the rosters forum, and if there's an injury I can refer to it. Or if you're at the sim, then you just tell me what to do. Right now, unofficial count has it even at 8-8. Still plenty of teams left to vote, so make it count!

I vote for injuries. Its why we have a bench and minor league system. I know it would be hard when you have an injury when games are simmed ten days at a time...maybe we could sim 3 days a at a time, check for injuries then move on? Or not worry about it...at worst you'll have a sub-in for 2 1/2-3 series before you can fix it...thats IF a guy got hurt on the 1st day of the sim.
I vote yes.

Really the only ones who should be saying no to this should be AL managers we know that hh2k3 has a injury bug that kills the AL side not bother the NL side at all. I still voted yes, more realistic imo.
When we do live sim each day we are told if there's a injury and how long the player will be out. If you are at the live sim, you can tell the commish who to replace, put on dl or call up. If you're not there the commish will do whatever he feels best for your team.

I vote no for injuries. Reason being people that cant make live drafts. people would be burned by the 4 yr deal being if commish calls up the top prospect u have to sign him earlier than later.
So no injuries

So no injuries No they wouldn't, because they have to reach a minimum of at bats to get a contract first. I wouldn't call up guys that they tell me not to. STL's idea of posted depth charts is a great idea. Not having injuries makes benches and minors pointless IMO, so the teams who traded good guys for depth are screwed, and people can take advantage by having no bench but a great lineup.

Okay, KC would like to be officially listed as "undecided" on this issue. If it helps, I am leaning 60-40 towards having injuries.

Well here's what I have so far- No- NYY, CLE, SF, COL, MON, TEX, FLA Yes- CIN, SEA, ARI, CHC, BOS, OAK, LA, STL, ANA, SD KC undecided, nobody other than MIN has had input. So with those teams it's 10- 7 to pass. I didn't include MIN because I'm not sure what this vote ended up being: I think injuries would make the season more realistic, however my experience has been that the computer goes overboard with injuries. I was playing a season with me managing the Yankees. Giambi got hit with a 339 day injury, the next day Soriano got a 157 game injury, and less than a week later, Mariano Rivera was out fo 60 games. Needless to say, that hurt. I've played a few other sims and although there were alot of injuries, this was an extreme case. In the final analysis though, I turned injuries off. Also, I know CLE didn't notice this originally, so I'll state it again. AL teams will get 2 instant heals per year (1 per half). This will help offset that injury bug. The NL doens't get many injuries, so no need for the instant heals.

I guess we can have a trial season with injuries turned on, and if it gets out-of-hand, we can turn them off again next year. So I vote yes.

How does the NL get less injuries? ??

How does the NL get less injuries? ?? The NL gets the "Normal" amount of injuries. However, the AL has a bug that makes injuries out of hand. It's a bug in the programming of the game, and there's nothing that can be done to change it. That's why I proposed the instant heals, because then we can still have the realism of injuries, but if they hit us too hard we can act like it never happened. I would like the bench and minors to actually mean something, and if there's no injuries, benches won't be used, and solid prospects will sit in the minors because there's never an opening.
