I propose that there be a limit on the number contract performance bonuses. I suggest that we cap them at three total. I further suggest that we cap the potential areas for incentives.
For the areas of incentives for P I suggest: W, SV, ERA, and K
For the areas of incentives for H I suggest: BA, HR, H, and R
Rationale 1. As shown by the imports, the amount of performance bonuses offered is crazy. The commish had to do a lot of work to get them all in. By limiting the amount of potential bonuses, it makes less work for the commish, or whomever is doing such things. That is always a good thing.
2. Constricts the money supply. By limiting the number of potential bonuses a player can reciever, the GM has to make a higher offer number in either base salary and/or signing bonus. This will take more money out of circulation to bring contracts, including imports, more inline with what they should be.

i think OBP and SLG might be good areas of incentives as well for hitters, but the idea is a good one!

I dont mind having a limit to the number of incentives a player could have but I dont like limiting to certain incentives...

I dont mind having a limit to the number of incentives a player could have but I dont like limiting to certain incentives... Not to mention there is no mention of MVP or Cy Young bonuses... and those types. Other than that, I'm on the fence.
