Well since it looks like SD will be able to trade...
The Brewers send Ryan Garko to SD for 5M TC. We realize that our Ballpark was not a good fit for him and wish him the best.
We hope Ryan gets back to his old form so SD has a decent trading chip. He stated he'd like a change of scenery, so he goes to one of the nicest cities in the country. They have a ton of cash and don't lose anything if it doesn't work out.

protest for 3 reasons...
1.Mike has yet to POST anything stating that this is OK for hoagie to do.
2.Even if Mike allows this I will protest any trade until SD has its OWN gm, b/c I still feel its wrong to run 2 teams like this...there is a big difference between trying to get an open team an import or 2, or doing a draft file for them and what NYM and NYY want to do.
3.MIL's claim that past success is the reason SD should do this trade doesnt sit with me either....the seasons he talks about Garko producing he was in Cinergy(2nd best hitting stadium) then moved to a pitchers park in MIL...but MIL says moving to a BIGGER PITCHERS PARK will HELP Garko...sorry I disagree

I veto because I want this to go to suggestions polll beforeanyone trades with SD. I dont agree with this. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE EVERYONE VOTE ON THIS BEFORE IT IS IMPLEMENTED. IT IS ONLY FAIR.

I agree veto cause having any GM run 2 teams is bad for the league therefore the trade is also bad for the league

The league vote shows a majority (16 of 17 current votes) support the league presidents being able to purchase picks and players for SD.
After discussing with CIN, we're deleting/not counting the previous protests (since they were made under different circumstances) and opening a new 24 hour period to veto from now until roughly 9:45 pm ET tomorrow (obviously we'll go by the exact time, but idk exactly what time this will be posted). So to clarify: if you want to veto this, you have until tomorrow night to do so. If the two teams that vetoed before don't get a chance to review the trade and want to veto after that, they will be given the chance to do so since they already have.

Well...here is my reasoning...
I need cap space.
Why I think it is good for SD:
He gets a player in need of a change. Before Coming to MIL he had recorded a .300+ avg, 24+ HR and 110+RBI in 2 out of 3 yrs (The 2 yrs were when he played full time. The middle yr he only recorded 320AB).
But he is a career .280 hitter and averages a .290 avg, more then 29 HR and 107RBI if he gets 500+ AB. SD can give him that opportunity and I think if he can get a .280, 25 HR 95 RBI guy, it will make SD a more attractive team. They lose a ton of salary and not to many of their PFA's are realy attractive to re-sign. Nomar, Giles and Chipper are all over 36. Garko is an upgrade over their current starting C as well. Garko has better stats then their 1B too over the past 4 yrs and makes the same amount. He could let Johnson go and keep Garko who is only costing 5M and he is under contract for 1 more year.

Poll Reading 101: 20 votes: Presidents should be able to purchase players and picks as well as sign imports and FA's and resign PFA's. *notice all of the ones below this include "ALL OF THE ABOVE", which INCLUDES WHAT IS ABOVE THIS.*
That's a majority right there. The tie does not matter in this situation, as 2/3 of the league has already stated that this should be done (and 20 out of 22 voters)

all SD trades will be put on hold until mike decides whether or not OAK can take over SD. if OAK doesn't take over SD, the LA trades will go through (since they passed) and the MIL trade will go to TC.
