Offseason FA period
All players whose contracts have expired will be listed in posts on the Free Agent Forum. The players will be posted separated by position. The deadline for offers to be tendered by will be posted as well as emailed out. Once posted, owners may make offers to those players via replies to the thread (no edits!). The minimum offer is 500K, and increases to Annual Salaries in offers shall be made in increments of (at least) $100k, until a players contract offer reaches $5m annual salary, then the increment increases to (at least) $250k.
Once the deadline for making message board offers is reached, the threads will be locked. The top 3 offers will be chosen, and those teams will have 48 hours will be allowed to send improved offers to the players via replies to the thread. No editing is permitted.
The pitching and hitting agents then make independent selections of the offers to be accepted and email those results to the Commish. If the two agents select the same offer, that offer is accepted. If the two agents select different offers, a league officer (either commish or a League President) selects which offer is accepted from those two. The offer accepted posted in the player's thread.
Players that are only offered one offer will NOT automatically accept that offer if it is too low. At the first deadline, the reply will be whether he signs with that team, or waits out for better offers. There will be 48 hours allowed to upgrade if the offer isn't sufficient.
