well if Gathright wasn't 23 and have only 2 years left on his contract I woulda given more then Sanchez Dunn and a 3rd rounder, especially when the 6.5 MIL is this season and he wasn't using it

ok this is kinda ridiculous, vetoing needs to be taken care of. TB wants to strengthen his minor leagues, I need a ML CF'er, I gave him a closing spect, a 3rd base spect that will hit 30 HR's with more BB's than K's and .300 BA with .370+ OBP. He has a great arm at 3rd base and yeah a .970 fielding% but when has .970 made a player a DH?
Aramis Ramirez has a .960 fielding% vitals wise and had 25 errors last season with a .946 fielding% to say 80 SB's for 46 errors is ridiculous.
this is a 23 year old CF that has 2 years left on his contract and before this year had 2 seasons that were VERY less than impressive.
He is giving up a #1-#2 hitter to get a #3-#4 hitter and getting a 3rd round pick with a closing spect
Some people are ridiculous, I mean seriously there is nothing wrong with this trade in anyway.

I agree with COL...this is far from Harmful to the league. And I hat to say that cuz I wanted Gath bad. But I personally wouldn't meet that offer. I think it is too much.

I think the trade is alright. He was said he wanted a top 3b in a deal for Gathright and I was unwilling to deal Fox to get him so he found a good young 3b from Colorado.

hahaha to atl. i'm a little tea pot, short and stout...
note the sarcasm...i wouldnt quit the league.
and how am i acting like a bitch? i dont know which monte dunn and tom sanchez you're talking about, especially dunn. dunn is a future allstar third baseman, and sanchez' slg% is very very good (obp below average however)...you could argue that colorado gets the better deal by a LITTLE, but this deal in no way compromises the integrity of the league.

oh and the comment about dunn being an allstar is a reach...his bat is decent for a 3b...300/30/100....but is glove is awful...id never vote for a guy at 3b for allstar with 20+ errors at the break unless he was on pace to hit .400 with 72 hrs...and thats not dunn

first off, i don't believe i've ever vetoed a trade...if i vetoed one, it would have to be harmful to the league, and pretty much any harmful one gets jumped on by anyone else first, so i dont see a reason to post. i'm not jumping on you because its you, i'm jumping on you because vetoing a completely fair trade like this is ridiculous.
if dunn's fld% is so bad, why do 2 of your major leaguers have worse fld%'s?
.970? sheesh, i'd rather have a guy hit 30 hrs with a .970 fld than 10 hrs and .990. lets not forget that his bat will produce 100 rbi's and even if your hyperbolic figure of 20 errors at the ASB happened, his bat would still more than cover for his glove.
