Veto
I don't see how anyone can justify trading a top of the rotation starter and a very nice bat (paid for) for a 4th OFer (on a good day), and three decent relievers. If StL needs to shed salary next season that is one thing, which he really isn't doing, but he should be able to get a better package than that for Morris and Jenkins.

I think you need to realize a feilder has more to do with a game than just his bat... thats what I think. I also think your just afraid I am going to catch you...
I say he shouldnt have NO say in this beacuse he is in my divison, he is doing this so my team does not get better and catch his possiably, Thats all.

trade looks ok to me. stl has power and maybe needed a leadoff guy? crawford is a 4th OF at best? recall still has wainright so maybe making room for him? jenkins is a pfa so trading him makes sense.
i'm not one to say don't veto nor would i play the division card on this trade, i'd just try to look at the bigger picture of the deal.

trade looks ok to me. stl has power and maybe needed a leadoff guy? crawford is a 4th OF at best? A leadoff guy who has over the past five seasons, including this one, put up OBP of .284, .309, .288, .311, .309. That isn't a leadoff hitter, that is what is known as an offensive blackhole. He is a 4th OFer because he would be a good defensive replacement or pinch runner. Oh, and he has never had a SLG over .400 and is a career .268/.304/.366 hitter. A career .670 OPS batter in 2100 ABs. That isn't very good. It would if he wasn't paying for him next season, but since he is giving Detroit a free player, he isn't a PFA.
