KC was at it again today. This time dealing young minor league closer Alex Serrano to Atlanta for Kevin Millwood.
Stieb was quoted as saying that Millwood is a great addition to the team for the playoff push and has hopes of signing him in the offseason. He also added that he still hopes to make a multi-player deal to shave his over-all roster down to 100.

Atlanta agrees.
With Atl out of the race, and Millwood not going to be resigned, we are glad to help another team in their playoff run.

Cal Ripken contemplates the statements made by Stieb and is scratching his head on how dealing their best SP for minor league pitchers and eventually gaining a couple of slightly better than average SP's really helps out their playoff chances when they're 10 games out in a somewhat strong division.
