Since NYY (a league president) vetoed, this goes to TC.
The TC will consist of the following... PIT, PHI, SEA, MIL with the tiebreaker being ANA.
Both GM's please post within 24 hours your reasoning for the trade.

The reason i traded for Sean Smith was because i needed another solid starting pitcher Mulder hasnt done anything this year and my other option would be Frank Grant who isnt bad but if one of my pitchers went down i would have nobody to replace them so this would give me help in the bullpen and depth to my starting pitching i think my pick this year will be 20 or higher and i am trying to win now not in the future.

Reasons for the Trade:
I feel like Sean Smith is just getting into his prime and is just starting to do well. He only allows 125 hits in 600 ABs. Yes, he has a high slugging and OBP but look at how he is doing so far in the 7th best hitting park in the game. MIN #1 right now isnt exceptionally high and right now hes leading his division.

I don't think I can pass this trade
Yes minny is winning his division but if you look at the numbers he's 500, and he's allowing more runs than scoring runs and thats sign of bad things coming. Does Sean Smith help him to be better its possible but is it worth a mid or higher 1st rounder AND a 3rd rounder.....no

I don't see the trade as league changing by any means. Two veteran owners are each filling a need and seem to be happy with the deal. Smith is a solid starter than should help Minn to contend for his division and Boston gets picks for his rebuild. I may not personally do the deal but don't see it as bad for the league.

If this was ANA or PHI trading Smith to SD or HOU then I think it does hurt the league. Does this hurt the league? No. Smith is having a decent yr and entering his prime. If he was 33 and this was a career yr, I may think a little differently. But still, would it reall hurt the league? No. MIN and BOS have been doing this for a little while. Is it the greatest trade ever for either team. No. But it doesn't hurt the league in any way. Plus he is trying to win the division and make the playoffs. You are going to pay a little extra in that case.
I vote Pass.

The trade looks fine to me, I don't see it as something that damages the league, so I let it go as well.
