Hoerman is holding out for a higher base salary.
He knows that his consistent 70 innings, 3.50 ERA, 10 K's per 9, and low WHIP is very useful in the bullpen, and feels he can really help a team in middle relief or setup if he's paid for it.
He will continue hearing offers from FLA until the round 2 deadline. If the offer goes unchanged, he'll decide between the Marlins' offer or remaining a FA to get a higher salary.
